While any breed can be affected, the following pure breeds are more likely to develop cataracts: Cocker Spaniel, Poodle, Siberian Husky, Schnauzer, Old English Sheepdog, Samoyed, Golden Retriever, Maltese, Boston Terrier and Yorkshire Terrier.
